Course Description: Inspired by the University motto, the course offers insights and
discussions around the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam or 'the world is one family'
and its pillars of tolerance, respect, dialogue, and coexistence. Students will be introduced to
diverse worldviews allowing for a creative and critical engagement with a range of
philosophies and ideas. In transcending boundaries, the course traces and celebrates the
common themes of love, compassion, and interdependence. Through this course we hope to
nurture students into sensitive, ethical, and critically conscious citizens who will contribute
responsibly to our shared global community.
